  • Game: Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Charlotte Hornets
  • Nurse Recognition: The Minnesota Timberwolves will recognize the three (3) nominee-winning nurses the on-court before the game. 

Nurses Honored! 

Three nurses were recognized on the court prior to the game! Each winner received 2 game tickets, a Timberwolves gift bag, Clove shoes, a prize bundle from Nuwest, and other prizes! 

Here are the three nurses who were chosen by an online vote: 

  • Melissa Ryan: Melissa, a burn unit nurse, is known for her expert knowledge and compassion. She organized toy and donation drives for children in the burn unit and comforted patients during the COVID pandemic when they were isolated from family.
  • Amy Stemper: Nominated by her spouse, Amy Stemper was a corrections nurse who treated inmates with compassion and respect. She now teaches nursing, fostering connections and advocating for her students and patients.
  • Kristin Lau: Kristin has been a nurse to new mothers and babies for 12 years, visiting them at home and supporting their care. She won the "Outstanding Nurse of the Year" award from MPLS/St. Paul Magazine and has been featured on Star Tribune and MPR.
