Houston Astros Nurse Appreciation Night 2024: Nurses Honored

Event Recap

The Houston Astros and Nurse.org teamed up for a special night dedicated to nurses and other healthcare workers. During this thrilling matchup, we put a spotlight on two remarkable nurses who have gone above and beyond the call of duty.

Nurses Honored!

TWO nurses were recognized at the May 15th game where the Astros beat the Athletics 3-0! Each winner received 2 game tickets, Clove shoes, a prize bundle from NuWest, and other prizes!

Here are the two nurses who were chosen by an online vote:

Natalia Guadalupe Hernandez: Natalia is an amazing nurse and I’m so happy she was assigned to take care of our baby in the NICU. Her compassion and bedside manner is extraordinary and she made sure she made me feel like my baby was in the best hands. My daughter  had a rash all over her body that the doctors couldn’t explain and they rushed her to the NICU. I was so scared because so many doctors were coming in and out with no answers but Natalia was always there making sure I knew what was going on and comforting us and our baby. She made the stay a little more bearable and I know she provides that level of care for all her patients.

Lety Gibbs: Lety is an experienced NICU nurse (and Astros fan!) who advocates for our babies and families to ensure that they are well cared for including helping bypass language barriers!
