HLTH 2025 Recap: How Nurses Are Reshaping Healthcare

HLTH 2025 was buzzing with energy as medical professionals and investors from around the world gathered in Las Vegas to collaborate, network, and showcase the present and future of healthcare.
Nurses Step Into the Spotlight
What was different about HLTH this year? The presence of nurses was palpable throughout the conference. Doctors and investors are looking to nurses for answers and input on some of healthcare’s biggest challenges—and nurses are stepping up to the plate, ready to play.
Rebecca Love, RN, MSN, FIEL, once again, is leading the way for nurses to sit at tables that we have always known we belong at, but have not been granted the opportunity to sit at. As with anything in nursing, it takes an entire team to make things happen.
Love and a mighty team of people, including Shannon Lunn, RN, CRN-BC, CNMAP, forged a trail for nurses to put their expertise and pains of working at the bedside together to come up with solutions to some of healthcare’s biggest problems—this is known as a Nurse Hackathon.

Lunn posted to LinkedIn to showcase some of the greatest nurse moments at HLTH, as well as highlight the people who made this event possible. It is quite stunning to see what happens when people who, as they say, “work on the front lines” collaborate to solve real-life issues.
Innovation on Display: Cutting-Edge Tech at HLTH
In addition to the inspiring nurse innovators who attended HLTH, the showroom boasted endless new products that are changing, innovating, and transforming healthcare as we know it.
Noom has launched an AI face scanner that, in just 30 seconds, estimates your biological age, produces real-time vital signs, and gives you metabolic and heart health indicators. My biological age results were five years older than my actual age! I scored fairly in my inflammation and stress categories (I think it knew I am an ER nurse).

Experiencing Patient Reality Through VR
This virtual reality device transports the user into the eyes of a patient who is acutely delirious in the hospital. By seeing through the lens of the patient, it opens the door to being more compassionate and understanding of what the patient is experiencing—truly terrifying!
If you look closely in the photo, you will see on the screen what Angelina is seeing through the Lucid VR headset. There was blood, flooding, bugs, stabbing, and unknown figures present through the VR headset. Now you know why Grandma is ready to throw hands when you walk into her room!

AI Meets the Stethoscope: Eko’s Game-Changing Device
One device that is changing the landscape of medicine is the Eko Stethoscope. Pairing the clinician’s ears with AI, this stethoscope uses FDA-cleared AI to capture information and assist the clinician with early detection of disease. Based on their research, Eko reports that providers are twice as likely to detect heart disease in their patients.
As nurses, we know how crucial early detection is to patient outcomes!
Nurse Influencers and Thought Leaders
Along with the abundance of medical devices and advanced AI components, HLTH was full of some of social media's most respected influencers! We sat down and spoke with Lindsey Shelton, Dr. Tommy Martin, and Tina B.

The Future of Nursing Innovation
Be sure to follow the Club Nurse Podcast as we dive deeper into conversations with some of the nurses who are responsible for paving their own paths.
What we have learned at HLTH is that nurses are natural innovators. Nurses are used to getting the job done with the lack of resources they have. Nurses are used to high-intensity situations and making critical decisions under pressure.
Don’t miss out on how nurses are transforming their lives, their nursing practice, and healthcare at large.
🤔From hackathons to VR training, nursing is evolving fast. What innovation are you most excited (or nervous) about? Nurses, share your thoughts in the discussion forum below!
