14 Nurses Pregnant on the Same Hospital Unit During Nurses Week and Mother's Day!

14 registered nurses from the Women and Infants Center at HSHS St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay are expecting their own bundles of joy. These nurses, who are typically the ones guiding families through the throes of pregnancy and delivery, are now donning the mom-to-be hat themselves.
"This is an incredible full-circle moment for many of our nurses, some of whom are about to become first-time moms themselves," said Amy Bardon, the director of HSHS St. Vincent Hospital Women and Infants Center told local news. "Each of these women is already a baby expert, but now they're about to get some on-the-job training in motherhood!"Â
A Double Celebration: Nurses Week and Mother’s Day
Talk about perfect timing! As we celebrate National Nurses Week from May 6-12 and Mother's Day on May 11, the stars seem to have aligned for these 14 nurses. They’re not just balancing the demands of nursing but are also preparing for the journey of motherhood. It's a unique intersection that’s bound to enrich their understanding of the families they serve.
A Community of Support
The hospital community is rallying around these expectant nurses, creating a supportive environment where they can swap stories, share advice, and prepare for the big changes ahead. This shared journey isn’t just building stronger team bonds; it’s creating a unique camaraderie that’s heartwarming to witness.
"I hope they have a special Nurses Week and Mother's Day," Bardon added in her statement to local news, acknowledging the dual celebration these nurses are experiencing.
