He used Google Earth to scout out a clearing in the woods near his school, grabbed a machete to clear the area, and pitched a tent. With that, he turned his makeshift campsite into his home base while attending Central Pennsylvania Institute of Science and Technology.

Tent Life: Not for the Weak

Living in a tent while chasing a nursing certificate isn’t exactly a walk in the park. Jaden's daily reality was filled with hurdles most of us couldn’t imagine:

• The Daily Trek: Every day started with a one-mile hike to school—rain, shine, or snow.
• Wildlife Woes: Coyotes? No thanks! Jaden used a DIY mix of vinegar and Tabasco sauce sprinkled around his tent to keep the critters at bay.
• Weather Warriors: Heat waves, downpours, and freezing nights—Mother Nature wasn’t always kind.
• Staying Clean: Personal hygiene became a whole new level of challenge without running water.
• The Skeptics: Let’s be honest—not everyone understood his choices. He faced plenty of doubters who called him crazy.

But through it all, Jaden stayed laser-focused on his goal: becoming a nurse's aide and getting his foot in the door in the medical field.
