ER Nurse Eden Lee Shines in Netflix's New Zero Day Series

Netflix's latest political thriller miniseries, Zero Day, has captured audiences with its star-studded cast and gripping storyline. Among the talented ensemble is Korean-American actress Eden Lee, a real-life emergency room nurse who takes on the role of Special Agent Angela Kim.

Born and raised in Queens, NY and northeastern Pennsylvania, Eden Lee graduated with honors from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a Bachelor’s degree in nursing. Despite pursuing a career in film and television, she continues to work in the emergency department, serving her community as a nurse.
Lee has appeared in various TV series and films, including Parish, Found, and Twisted Metal. However, Zero Day is her most significant role yet as she works alongside a star-studded cast headed by Hollywood legend, Robert De Niro.
In Zero Day, Lee plays Special Agent Angela Kim, a recurring character integral to the titular “Zero Day Commission’s” investigative efforts. Lee plays the character as a diligent and resourceful agent who significantly assists the team as they unravel the mystery surrounding a devastating cyberattack. We first meet agent Kim in Episode 2, with additional appearances in later episodes.
Lee shared a series of on-set photos to her Instagram when the Netflix show debuted. In the caption, she writes:
“In April 2023, I auditioned for a little show called Zero Day knowing two things: one, this was a Robert De Niro show(?!), and two, there wasn’t aaaaany way I’d ever be lucky enough to book it🙂↔️… Special Agent Angela Kim is a small piece of the massive puzzle that is Zero Day, but she changed my life. And I hope you love this show as much as I loved being a part of it.”
The Premise of Zero Day
Zero Day’s plot thrusts viewers into the high-stakes world of cybersecurity and political intrigue. The series follows former U.S. President George Mullen (Robert De Niro) as the current administration calls upon him to investigate a catastrophic cyberattack.

In addition to De Niro, the Netflix series features a star-studded cast, including:
