Auburn Nursing Student Crowned Miss America 2025

Meet Abbie Stockard, a 22-year-old nursing student from Auburn University who just snagged the title of Miss America 2025. She is the fourth Miss America to be crowned from Alabama. Abbie’s win is a big deal, not just for her but for the entire nursing community. It’s a sparkling reminder that future, and current, nurses are capable of just about anything.

Auburn University’s School of Nursing Shines Bright

Along with her new crown, Abbie won a $50,000 scholarship and will begin her reign while attending nursing school at Auburn University. For the next year she will be focusing on advocating for Cystic Fibrosis research.

Abbie’s journey to the Miss America stage started in the halls of Auburn University’s School of Nursing. If you know anything about Auburn, you know their nursing program is no joke. It’s a place where future nurses are built tough—mentally, physically, and emotionally.

Abbie represented Alabama with pride when she competed in Orlando, Florida, for the crown. This win is a massive honor for Auburn University and a big shoutout to Alabama’s contributions to healthcare education.

Abby plans to continue her nursing education by obtaining a Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) and working in pediatrics.

Nursing Meets Leadership: A Winning Combo

Abbie Stockard’s Miss America win is more than just a shiny new accessory; it’s a testament to the leadership skills future nurses bring to the table. Nurses are multitasking pros—we’re talking about juggling meds, charts, and emotional support like it’s all in a day’s work. Abbie’s unique nursing student perspective makes her the kind of Miss America we’ve been waiting for: compassionate, sharp, and ready to tackle the big issues.

And let’s be real—this win might just spark a new wave of young folks considering nursing.
