Cara Geswelli’s journey from MTV’s Siesta Key standout to full-time registered nurse is nothing short of a glow-up we can all cheer for! If you thought reality TV stars lived only for the spotlight and scandal, think again—Cara is proving that nursing is where the real heart (and hustle) is.

From Beach Drama to Bedside Drama: Meet Cara Geswelli

You might remember Cara as the bold, unapologetic reality star who made waves on MTV’s Siesta Key. The show, set against the sun-soaked backdrop of Siesta Key, Florida, follows the messy, juicy lives of young adults trying to figure out love, friendship, and life’s curveballs.

Cara shook things up with her fiery relationships and entrepreneurial flair, launching a jewelry line with her sister called The Same Circle. Spoiler alert: her stint on Siesta Key hit rough waters mid-Season 3, when cheating rumors and deteriorating friendships prompted her departure. When Cara declared she was done and left the show on a boat (yes, literally escorted off by production), viewers were hooked on the real-life soap opera unfolding.

School’s In Session: From Communications to Caring

Cara holds a degree in Communication and Media Studies from the University of Tampa, proving she’s no stranger to the spotlight. But instead of pursuing a career in entertainment media, Cara hit the books again—this time, diving into hands-on clinical training and real-world patient care as a nursing student.

She graduated from the nursing program at Hillsborough Community College in 2024 and threw herself into nursing full-time, trading reality TV cameras for stethoscopes and scrubs. Talk about a plot twist!
