“I Caught Nurses Taking Pics” — Brooke Hogan Makes Claims About Hulk’s Medical Team

The nursing community is once again in the spotlight—this time following the death of wrestling legend Hulk Hogan on July 24, 2025, at the age of 71. In a recent appearance on the Bubba Army podcast, Hogan’s daughter, Brooke Hogan, shared several serious concerns about her father’s care by his medical team in his final days.
According to her statements, members of Hogan’s healthcare team—including nurses—allegedly administered incorrect medications, with claims of “double dosing,” and possibly provided opioids despite documented instructions to avoid them due to concerns about his breathing.
"You know, I could see him making it to eighty-five or somewhere around there. His heart was compromised, but that surgery shouldn’t have been the thing that took him out. Opioids could have been, because they slow your breathing. If you’ve had major heart surgery—and I think I sent over detailed notes—those notes said no opioids. He even asked me to tell them no opioids because it would slow his breathing and he wouldn’t get enough oxygen.
When I heard about what happened afterward, I started putting the pieces together from what you were saying and from what I was hearing around. I thought, “I need to know what’s going on,” and I realized this was the beginning of the end." - Brooke Hogan Bubba Army podcast

"I even caught nurses trying to take pictures of him as he was coming out of anesthesia. Jennifer and I literally had to be like guards. There were no limits—nurses would try to take pictures of him while he was sleeping. I caught people double-dosing him and getting his medications wrong. It was exhausting." - Brooke Hogan Bubba Army podcast

She also claimed that while Hogan was unconscious in the post-anesthesia care unit (PACU), staff attempted to take unauthorized photographs.

It’s important to emphasize that these are unverified allegations made by a grieving family member, and no formal findings have been reported to substantiate them. The Clearwater Police Department has stated there is no evidence of foul play in Hogan’s death. His passing followed a challenging recovery from neck surgery in May 2025 and heart surgery in June 2025. There has been no official autopsy to address whether medication administration played any role in his cardiac arrest.
