Clinical Educator/Supv, RN – Neuro Intermediate Care

The Nautical Group, a retained executive search firm in Raleigh, is working with a major health system in the area to fill their Clinical Educator/Supv, RN – Neuro Intermediate Care position. This person is responsible for assisting the unit manager in supervision, coordination, education and management of nursing personnel to ensure consistent standards of practice and competencies in the delivery of patient care services.
General Responsibilities:
- Communicate needs and concerns in a constructive and positive manner to help develop, plan and implement organized educational programs to meet patients’ needs
- Assess and identify training needs of individual staff members
- Understand the needs of the organization and support the mission, values and management of patient care services
- Support and incorporate the ANA Scope and Standards of Nursing Practice, North Carolina Board of Nursing Practice Act and organization nursing and patient care models
- Work in collaboration with a variety of individuals and disciplines
Requirements:
- Minimum of three to five years of professional experience in clinical nursing required, including clinical practice directly related to neuro intermediate care
- Experience in teaching and facilitation of learning required
- Bachelors Degree in Nursing required
- Current RN licensure in State of North Carolina required
- AHA/CPR Instructor Certification required
- Experience in nursing management preferred
- Proficient with computers in selected word processing applications, computer assisted instruction and presentation applications
