Director of Mobile Critical Care Services

The Nautical Group, a retained executive search firm in Raleigh, is working with a major health system in the area to fill their Director of Mobile Critical Care Services position. This person will have system-wide accountability for all operational aspects of Mobile Critical Care Services (ground and air division) and Emergency Communications.

General Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the highest standards of safety, quality, service and fiscal responsibility
  • Coordinate interfacility patient throughput into, out of and across the healthcare system
  • Oversee personnel at multiple campuses across the health care system
  • Oversee the strategic planning, financial management and budgeting processes, quality insurance/performance improvement activities, and ensuring regulatory agency compliance of assigned areas.
  • Work closely with the program medical director ensuring the highest standards in quality of care
  • Represent the health care system to the public, health care organizations, professional associations, and governmental agencies, while establishing collaborative relationships
  • Understand the needs of the organization and support the mission, values and management of patient care services

Requirements:

  • Minimum of five years’ experience as an RN with at least three years in Critical Care, Emergency Department, Critical Care Transport, or EMS field operations required
  • Minimum of three years of previous management experience required
  • Bachelors Degree in Nursing required and Masters in Nursing or health care related field required
  • Current RN licensure in State of North Carolina required
  • Current certification in SMAT II and EMT-Basic required
  • Current and valid NC Class C Driver License required
  • Knowledge and experience in finance, operations management, strategic planning, quality assurance and regulatory agency compliance
  • Interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to lead groups and programs
  • Visionary leadership with the ability to think in a positive and creative manner
