Rebecca Love, RN, BS, MSN, FIEL is a nationally recognized nurse executive, entrepreneur, and innovation leader—and the first nurse featured on TED.com and on the first-ever nursing panel at SXSW. She is a regular contributor to the Forbes Business Council and has been featured by BBC, Fortune, Becker’s, Axios, STAT, Forbes, Chief Healthcare Executive, and ABC News. Rebecca is the co-author of The Rebel Nurse Handbook and The Nurse’s Guide to Innovation.
Rebecca made history as the first Director of Nurse Innovation & Entrepreneurship in the United States at Northeastern University School of Nursing, where she launched the country’s first academic initiative dedicated to empowering nurses as innovators and entrepreneurs. During her tenure, she founded the Nurse Hackathon, a movement that has driven transformational change across the nursing profession.
In 2019, Rebecca co-founded SONSIEL (Society of Nurse Scientists, Innovators, Entrepreneurs & Leaders) and serves as President Emeritus. The nonprofit quickly gained international recognition and was named an Affiliate Member of the United Nations, amplifying the global voice of nurse-led innovation.
A seasoned nurse entrepreneur, Rebecca founded HireNurses.com in 2013, which was acquired in 2018 by Ryalto Ltd. (UK). She subsequently served as Managing Director of U.S. Markets through Ryalto’s acquisition in 2019. She later served as Chief Clinical Officer at IntelyCare, Inc., helping scale workforce innovation in healthcare.
In 2023, Rebecca founded the Commission for Nurse Reimbursement, an initiative focused on addressing the U.S. nursing crisis by advancing a new economic model that recognizes and reimburses nursing services. In 2024, she was named Co-Chair of the NursingIsSTEM Coalition.
Rebecca currently serves on advisory boards for multiple digital health startups and organizations. A founder of three companies, international speaker, and lifelong advocate for nurses, she is deeply committed to empowering nurses to innovate, lead, and build solutions that transform healthcare.
