Kim Dupree Jones, PhD, RN, FNP-BC, FAAN, is a nationally renowned nurse scientist and educator with over 30 years of experience in symptom science. She is a pioneering researcher on fibromyalgia, with works cited in major medical texts and treatment guidelines. She co-authored The Revised Fibromyalgia Impact Questionnaire (FIQR), extensively used by pharmaceutical companies during FDA drug testing. She also holds a patent for a genomics-based blood marker for fibromyalgia. Her recent research explores the role of cannabinoids in opioid tapering and photosensitivity as a pain modulation mechanism.

A prolific author, Dr. Jones has published more than 130 papers and completed more than 60 studies on fibromyalgia. Her research has been funded by the NIH, the Department of Defense, and various foundations. Her contributions to nursing science have earned her fellowships in the American Academy of Nursing and the Sigma Theta Tau International Nurse Researcher Hall of Fame.

Dr. Jones currently serves as the Associate Dean of for Academic Advancement at Emory University Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing in Atlanta, Georgia. Emory School of Nursing is the No. 1 graduate and No. 3 undergraduate school of nursing in the US, according to US News and World Report.
