Anny Jenkins

Anny is a dynamic, dedicated and passionate nursing professional with over 18 years of experience in clinical practice, patient care, and healthcare education. Throughout her career, she has demonstrated proven expertise in nursing education, leadership, patient advocacy and program development, always with a strong focus on enhancing patient care outcomes and fostering a collaborative team environment.
Her skills in leadership, education, triage, care coordination and clinical practice have equipped her to effectively address the diverse needs of her patients while promoting a culture of health equity, continuous improvement and professional development. Anny holds her Associates, Bachelors and Master's degrees in Nursing. As a nurse educator, Anny has a strong passion for educating new graduates and prospective nursing students, traveling around the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia on numerous recruiting events during her career. Anny has also been a speaker at numerous conferences and commencements, including her own Bachelor's commencement at Western Governor's University in Indianapolis, Indiana in 2022.
Anny is an active member in numerous professional organizations and holds board memberships on the Blue Ridge Community Technical College Foundation and the Executive Secretary of the Black Nurse Collaborative, Inc. Anny is a member of the Western Governor's University Alumni Association, Blue Ridge CTC Alumni Association, American Nurses Association (national & state), National Black Nurses Association, National League for Nursing, Association for Nursing Professional Development, Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, and the National Society of Leadership and Success. Anny was recently named as the WV Nurses Association Membership Chair in November 2025. Anny also is a 2026 Fellow in the UsAgainstAlzheimer’s Brain Health Equity Fellowship program. This honor makes her the first African-American West Virginian with this honor and distinction.
As an active member in the nursing community, Anny is committed to empowering emerging healthcare professionals and advocating for equitable & quality care in the rural population.
