Nurses in Media Virtual Conference is March 15, 2023
Mark Your Calendars for a fun and unique nursing event! The American Nurses Association(ANA)\California is hosting its second Nurses in Media Day on March 15th from 10:00 - 1:30 PST virtually.
This exciting free, virtual conference will explore how nurses are portrayed in media and discuss how nurses can prepare and position themselves to become leaders in the digital healthcare space. ANA\California’s Nurses in Media Campaign provides training and tools to empower nurses and increase nursing presence across various media platforms.
The conference host is Alicia Truelove MSN, RN, CV-BC, the 2023 ANA\California Advocacy Institute Fellow. Nursing, media, and communications experts will take the stage to discuss and reflect on the role of nursing in healthcare media coverage and healthcare policy.

The Conference will be divided into three sections.
Media Policy & Culture Panel
This panel will discuss how policy and culture impact the way nurses are portrayed in media and strategies to increase nursing voice in policy development. The panel will likely also discuss how nurses are under-utilized as sources for healthcare media coverage.
