  • Been employed with Nomad for at least 12 months 
  • Completed at least 1,000 service hours with Nomad
  • For qualifying healthcare professionals, Nomad will match 50% of the first 3% of contributions per paycheck, and this employer matches vests immediately.

My Experience With Nomad Health 

My personal experience with Nomad was overall a positive experience, and I highly recommend them to tenured and seasoned traveling healthcare professionals. Their hands-off approach is great if you are educated on what to expect throughout the entire travel assignment process and need less “hand holding” than with a traditional travel nurse company and recruiter. 

A great perk of their more streamlined and hands-off approach is that their compensation packages are usually higher than those of traditional travel nursing staffing agencies. However, you must factor in that there is less guidance and support than using a traditional agency and weigh all the pros and cons for your unique situation and goals. 

Post-pandemic, I have noticed a decrease in their compensation packages, but that is the case with agencies across the board. I found their website and app very user-friendly, and I love the control it gives you if you like to search for your own assignments. Their benefits for me were cost effective, and I was always paid on time with no payroll concerns. They were always quick to respond (usually 24 hours or less) with any questions or concerns I had.
