10 Hospitals Offering Huge Sign-On Bonuses

Inova Fair Oaks Hospital, Fairfax, VA

Operating Room RN

If you’re an OR nurse and looking to live in Virginia, this is the job for you. Not only is Inova Fair Oaks Hospital offering a 20K sign-on bonus for the lucky nurse who takes this full-time position, but they will also provide up to an additional 20K in travel reimbursements if you have to relocate to take the job. Virginia may be for lovers, but it’s also apparently for OR nurses.

Lehigh Valley Health Network, Allentown, PA

Med-Surg RN

Got Med-Surg experience or willing to learn? You could soon be enjoying a job with Lehigh Valley Health Network, which boasts up to a 20K sign-on bonus along with other employee perks, such as a “culture of wellness” and flexible scheduling. Not too shabby!

Wayne Memorial Health System, Honesdale, PA

ICU/Progressive Care RN

This part-time second-shift position will have you clocking in at 1500 and clocking out at 2330 (that’s 3 PM to 1130 PM to any new grads who haven’t acclimated to military timing just yet), leaving you with practically a full day for activities. This schedule would be great for a mom whose kids are still young and wants to be home with them during the day, for a new nurse looking for some experience who doesn’t quite want to do the full night shift, or for any RN just looking to pick up some part-time work. And even though the position is part-time, you will still be eligible for up to a 20K sign-on bonus. Nice!

Heart Hospital of Austin, Austin, TX

Cardiovascular ICU Registered Nurse

Ever wondered what it would be like to live in the land of big hair and bigger barbeques? Well, strap on your cowboy boots and head on over to Austin, Texas, where you could soon be joining an excellent healthcare system as a cardiac ICU nurse. This full-time position on night shift is located at one of the largest non-academic cardiovascular research programs in the world, so you will gain a wealth of experience and be supported by an excellent team as well. And, of course, there will be a 20K sign-on bonus when you begin, along with a complete compensation package. To be eligible for this position, nurses must have at least one year of acute adult cardiac care experience.

Broward Health Medical Center, Ft Lauderdale, FL

Surgical RN

Enjoy the sunshine state as a surgical RN with Broward Health—this position is a full-time 3 PM-1130 PM shift, so you could spend your days at the beach and your evenings caring for patients in the area’s largest healthcare facility. If you have an interest in working in a fast-paced environment, this job might just be for you. Broward Health is looking for an RN with 3-5 years of recent OR RN experience and they also prefer a robotically-trained RN, although they are willing to train you for the robotics service line. Um, a 20K bonus and robotic training? Sounds too good to pass up.

Multicare Health System, Covington, WA

RN, various

When you join the team at Multicare as an RN, the healthcare system is only offering a 10K sign-on bonus, which, admittedly, in light of the previous offers, but seem a little light. But wait—there’s more. In addition to the 10K sign-on bonus, the hospital is also offering nurses in various positions up to 20K loan forgiveness, so when you look at the total package, you may be getting more bang for your buck that way. You do need some hospital experience to qualify, but if you’re a new RN, you can apply for a new grad residency.

Inova Health System, Falls Church, VA

Trauma ICU RN

When you sign on for this full-time night shift position, you will be caring for patients of the highest acuity in an 18-bed trauma unit, but the health system is willing to allow nurses looking to switch specialties to join as part of their critical care fellowship program. However, you won’t be eligible for the sign-on bonus if you take part in the program; only nurses with a least two years of critical care nursing experience can receive a $15,000 or $20,000 sign-on bonus. This position also offers up to 20K in relocation expense reimbursement if you’re moving more than 50 miles to take the job. And when you take the bonus, you will also be locked into a 2 or 3-year employment agreement.

California Hospital Medical Center, Los Angeles, CA

OR RN

Want to work in the city of angels? Who wouldn’t? California is one of the top-paying states for nurses in the country and if you take on this position, you can also earn a 20K sign-on bonus as well. You will need previous OR experience in order to be considered for this job, which is located right in downtown Los Angeles.

Northridge Hospital Medical Center, Northridge, CA

Quality Assurance RN

If you don’t want to work in downtown LA, but still are looking to enjoy the California sunshine, Northridge Hospital may be right for you. Unlike some of the other positions in this list, this job is for a nurse who will be responsible for overseeing ongoing quality processes in the department, so it’s great for nurses who are looking to provide care in a non-clinical setting.

Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital, Memorial Healthcare System, Hollywood, FL

NICU RN

So, it may not be the Hollywood you’re thinking of, but you will still be working with some pretty cool stars—because all of the babies in the NICU are celebrities in their own ways. This position is for a nurse in the Neonatal ICU Level 2 and only requires one year of nursing experience. The position is a full-time night shift position, from 645 PM to 715 AM.
