Gales Pro Line Shoes Review By Four Nurses 2024
Did you know that sneakers and athletic shoes commonly worn by nurses are all built on “high energy return” principles - they compress like springs and release energy into your body to accelerate forward propulsion? The problem? This results in an increase in pressure on your feet, knees, backs, and joints, causing discomfort and pain over long shifts. With this in mind, Gales® developed an entirely new type of footwear designed to do the opposite - diffuse impact and disperse energy with every step using patented XL Extralight® materials.

Gales® are also the first and only lab-verified fully antimicrobial footwear under ISO 22196:2011 Standards. What does this mean? Not only will they keep your feet smelling fresh, but they’ll better protect them with no cracks, crevices, or natural materials to attract and foster the growth of deadly bacteria and disease.
How Gales Was Started
Gales® are the #1 rated nurse shoes designed to reduce the impact on knees, backs, and joints from long 12+ hour shifts. When nurses saved someone close to luxury Italian footwear designer Rob Gregg’s family, Rob shifted his full-time focus to giving back as a healthcare donor and volunteer. Working with the nurse innovation group SONSIEL, he discovered not only were 80% of nurses wearing fabric, leather, or porous shoes that track and absorb deadly bacteria and disease, but their knees backs, and joints were suffering from constant impact in improper footwear.
Produced in North America and crowdsource designed with over 1,500 nurses, Gales® are proudly the preferred nurse shoes of over 35,000 healthcare professionals and medical facilities. Visit weargales.com to step into cloudlike comfort today for as low as $89.95 with the original Gales® Frontline and introducing the new Gales® Pro Line for wide-width feet.

Q&A
Do you have any foot, ankle, or other medical conditions that usually influence your shoe purchase?
“I have wide flat feet.”
What shoes do you usually wear to work and why?
“I usually wear Cloves because they slip on easily and are comfortable.”
How long are you usually at work during a typical shift?
“12 hours”
What do you like about Gales shoes?
“The wide-based bottom of the shoes makes it more balanced to walk. They are lightweight and durable. The water-resistant design makes me comfortable against any spills.”
What do you dislike about Gales shoes?
“When I wear cotton socks, the front rim of the shoe rubs against the top of my foot, causing me to take my shoe off and readjust my socks. However, when I wear nylon compression socks, there is no friction. The all-white looks very clean, yet I wish there was more variety with the color as opposed to a solid color all around. ”
Is there anything else you think nurses should know about Gales shoes?
“Gales are lightweight, reasonably comfortable shoes that offer great arch support!”
Would you recommend them to a coworker?
“Yes!!”
