Americaâs favorite nurse and comedian, Nurse Blake, has partnered with everyoneâs new favorite shoe line designed just for healthcare workers, Gales shoes, to release his own line of Gales+ Pro Line shoes. Gales are ranked amongst the best shoes for nurses, according to nurses who wore them to work and left an honest review.Â
The Nurse Blake x Gales Pro Line shoes launched June 7, 2023, and are a limited collaboration. A portion of the proceeds will go to the Make-a-Wish Foundation.Â
About Gales ShoesÂ
If youâre not familiar with Gales Shoes, they are the first smart PPE shoe designed just for healthcare workers. Gales have gone viral and for good reason âthey provide âcloud-like comfort,â have antimicrobial protection built right into the exterior of the shoe, and are very easy to clean. For more info about Gales, you can also read Nurse.orgâs exclusive interview with the companyâs CNO, Nurse Raquel.Â
Gales was founded shortly after the COVID-19 pandemic, when the companyâs founder, Rob Gregg, had a loved one hospitalized with the virus. Gregg soon realized how unprotected nursesâ feet often were, so he set out on a quest to design a shoe that would better meet nursesâ needs for both comfort and protection.Â

Gales Shoes can literally be wiped clean and sanitized with that infamous tub of sanitizing wipes all nurses are familiar with, or, because theyâre waterproof, you can even completely hose them down with bleach if needed or toss them right into the washing machine. (Hey, weâve all been in that situation.)
In short, theyâre a shoe that every healthcare worker can appreciate. As if the sanitization features werenât enough, theyâre also incredibly comfortable and supportive.Â
Nurse Blake x Gales Pro Line Shoes
So, whatâs the Nurse Blake collab all about? Well, essentially, Americaâs favorite nurse and Americaâs favorite new shoe for healthcare workers were destined to come together at some point.Â
âWe built GalesÂŽ with care and kindness to give back to our community, so when we got to know Nurse Blake as the kind, generous person he is, the stars felt aligned,â Gregg explained.Â
Nurse Blake also announced that he was âthrilledâ to announce his first-ever shoe collection that was co-developed by Gales. As a frontline nurse himself, Nurse Blake continued Galesâ tradition of collaborating with real healthcare workers to design shoes that meet their needs.Â
âI worked side-by-side with their team to create the collection, and weâre thrilled to not only treat your feet to cloudlike comfort but also make a difference,â said Nurse Blake.Â
The difference Nurse Blake is referring to is donating a portion of the proceeds from his Gales shoe collection to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
âOur collaboration, designed for all-day comfort with a Nurse Blake twist, marks a new step in comfort innovation for nurses, with the incredible outcome of helping make a difference in childrenâs lives,â Gregg noted.Â
