Clove Shoes Review By 4 Nurses in 2025
Clove began when the founder, Joe Ammon, saw how taxing healthcare could be as he was at his wife’s side throughout her nursing journey. Three innovative sneaker styles, endless color options, and TIME’s Best Inventions award later, the mission of every Clove step is the same: “you support them, we support you.”

Is there anything else you think nurses should know about Cloves shoes?

Cloves understands that working as a healthcare professional is not easy and often as we’re caring for others we neglect our own self care, including footwork that offers proper support. Cloves has helped prioritize our safety and comfort by creating this shoe!”
Would you recommend them to a coworker?

Q&A
Do you have any foot, ankle, or other medical conditions that usually influence your shoe purchase?
“No”
What shoes do you usually wear to work and why?
“Depending on my day, I can wear Dansko, Nike or Adidas when working inpatient. I like these shoes for the style and comfort. Dansko provide arch support and style. They are known for their orthopedic treatment. Nike and Adidas provide flexibility and support for long days. Outpatient, I typically wear street shoes that range from flats to a low heel.”
How long are you usually at work during a typical shift?
“I work 8 hour days, 4 - 5 days a week.”
What do you like about Clove shoes?
“The Clove shoes I chose provided a lot of cushiony support. I like that they felt soft, flexible and durable. The no tie laces were a bonus because I don’t like to tie laces. I liked slipping my foot into a pair of Cloves and was ready to go. The were lightweight and you could feel the support. By 4 hours my feet were not achy or throbbing. The variety of colors added an extra bonus, especially since I chose pink leopard.”
What do you dislike about Clove shoes?
“The 2 drawbacks I had were: 1) the no tie lace shoe is that it was difficult to tighten up the shoe. My foot is very narrow, so at times it felt as if the shoe was loose and that I might come out of them. 2) since my foot is narrow, I could see how wide they looked on my foot. It wasn’t a big deal nor was it a deal breaker.”
Is there anything else you think nurses should know about Cloves shoes?
“The Clove shoes were comfortable and durable. I would definitely recommend however for those with a narrow foot, they may feel too loose or appear bigger than they seem.”
Would you recommend them to a coworker?
“I would recommend Clove so that other health care professionals are able to could compare their current shoes. Being on your feet for long hours and having the right shoe can impact your day to day regime.”

“My shifts are usually about 12 hours but can extend to 14!”
What do you like about Clove shoes?

Clove SuperCush Shoe Review: Sam Fusco RN, BSN
Overall Rating: 5
My name is Sam Fusco and I have been an ER nurse for 2 years now. I have spent my experience in fast-paced level 1 trauma centers, so finding a comfortable shoe is a must. I am constantly on the go and walking an average of 6 miles a shift minimum. Working 12 hour shifts and moving every direction, it's hard to sit still. More importantly, the ER exposes me to all types of fluids, scant and copious. So once I found the Clove brand, it was an easy decision for me. Follow @samfusco on TikTok!

What shoes do you usually wear to work and why?
“I always wear Clove branded shoes because they give me the opportunity to be outgoing in a mandatory all-navy uniform. They are constantly pushing out creative color palettes and new designs. When I was a student nurse in the ER, I found myself attempting to clean miscellaneous body fluids from my Nike tennis shoes. Ultimately, those shoes soaked up every kind of juice like a sponge. I discovered Clove after a horrific vomit incident and have never looked back since. When looking for a new shoe brand and discovering that Clove produces wipeable, fluid-resistant shoes that are also comfortable and stylish...it was a no-brainer!”
How long are you usually at work during a typical shift?

What do you like about Clove shoes?
“What I am most impressed with the Clove SuperCush shoe is how light and comfortable they truly are. I know what you're thinking. Okay, sure. Another shoe brand that claims to be the best. No. It truly is what it is hyped up to be. I'm actually looking forward to wearing the SuperCush shoes out running errands because they are that comfortable. The tongue and heel of the shoe are extra thin, which I appreciate. As far as the extra cushioning... it's just an added bonus that it gives me a couple extra inches 😉
I know Clove once stated they have worked on this shoe design for nearly 18 months and it shows.”
What do you dislike about Clove shoes?
“My dislike with the Clove SuperCush shoe is that they have kept it a secret for so long. I wish I could give you a genuine answer but I just can't. The shoe speaks for itself.”
Is there anything else you think nurses should know about Cloves shoes?
“I think the most important thing I tell my peers about this shoe is that the Clove SuperCush shoes are the next big thing. Stylish, trendy, comfortable, and wipeable. What's more to want? They are worth every 👏 single 👏 penny 👏”
Would you recommend them to a coworker?
“1000%. Again and again. All over again. The amount of compliments I've received from wearing this shoe is actually overwhelming, and I wish I was kidding. Co-workers are constantly complimenting me on the shoe and color design, always asking what brand they are and where to get them.”
