Great patient population
Great coworkers, lots of babies, nice balance of overtime vs being able to take time off. Infrequent floating. Good patient/ nurse ratio.
Major leadership transition
6/14/2018Labor & Delivery (L&D)
The staff is caring, respectful, and friendly. Methodist is a patient-oriented atmosphere. Ever since my first experience with this hospital in college, I have thought a lot of it.
4/4/2018Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU)
It has been great experience as a new nurse
They are flexible with scheduling and push you as a new nurse in an ICU to learn as much as you can
4/20/2017Medical-Surgical (MS, Med-Surg)
18 years nurse manager case manager
Good working environment good pay a level one trauma center large teaching hospital non for profit magnet certified hospital good benefits
Weather commute time
Supportive management and staff.
Being able to serve and advocate for patients, and watching my clinical judgement grow. Having a team that I can rely on for guidance and assistance when needed. Having a manager that is always approachable and caring, and gives beneficial advice.
I really am just ready to move on to the next stage in my nursing career.
For the most part it was nice.
Coworkers nice, self scheduling, got paid every two weeks, got to stay on same unit not much floating.
Coworkers would stab you in the back given the chance. Management doesn't care about anything except the all mighty dollar? It's their way or the highway.
3/22/2017Medical-Surgical (MS, Med-Surg)
Cardiovascular surgical RN
Great coworkers. Awesome resources, trauma 1 center, most units are appropriately staffed, enough patient care support help who are proficient in I&Os getting all vitals and venipunctures
Pay is not as high as other nearby hospitals, some floors not adequately staffed, parking in and around hospital is always a problem
Good team work, knowledgeable staff members, available resources to workers are awesome, best hospital system in indiana, available overtime hours as needed
Patient ratio with the patient acuity. They have very sick patients
2/6/2017Medical-Surgical (MS, Med-Surg)
Worked here for 13 years
I work with the resource department as an RN and floated between 3 local Indianapolis hospitals and love it and all the experience I have gotten is awesome.

Vast majority of coworkers are very friendly and team-oriented, lots of opportunities and encouragement to get involved or gain additional certifications.
