Nurses don't get old..we get better#

PROS:

Working with people..helping solve any and issues that may arise..having secure career doing what I love. Knowing I along with other physicians take our job serious and are dutiful in making them feel cared for.

CONS:

Time away from children ..but their adults the hours would become tedious..but it al will be worth it in the end ..I ; bi guess seeing a patient not get better would bother me . I know that's part of the job but I want all my patients to feel they were given the the best treatment.

Coworkers were terrible as was the nurse manager. She always had her favorites. She doesn't like anyone who has an opinion. She runs our unit like a dictatorship

great for learning, everyone is professional, clean, a lot of recent remodels on units, communication is good, scheduling makes sense

Coworkers, pay, teams for catheters Ana Iv starts . Great place to work and they have awesome benefits as well

CONS:

Scheduling, having to bounce between days and nights, parking is awful and you have to take the bus in which adds time to your day

Awesome place to work. Great pay, flexible, good benefits, my managers were easy to approach, didn’t have to work weekends

Great teamwork, Nursing leadership is very supportive of their staff, lots of opportunities for professional growth, mayo will reimburse your schooling (I.e going back to school for BSN or NP, etc)

Difficult to take PTO, RNs do most of the PCA work,

The pay, top hospital in the world. Diverse experiences because everyone including patients and physicians alike come to be at Mayo

Evidence based practice drives most of the patient decisions Unusual cases come to the clinic for second opinions . Knowledgeable providers work in many areas.

Long work hours. Slow change beaurocratic system has become much more money focused in recent years and moved clinicians with business degrees out of leadership. Concerning

Pay is great, very large teaching facility, people worldwide come for the expertise and the specialties. Many educational opportunities.

CONS:

Tend to get lost in the employee crush, very specialized referrals everywhere. Parking is not good, good nurse to patient ratio.
