Pulmonary (Respiratory, Asthma)

Worst

PROS:

No pros here

CONS:

Worst hospital I have ever had anyone in. My sister was there with lung cancer. They take better care of animals in the zoo than they do at ARH. I have nothing good to say about the cancer doctors there.

Ambulatory Care

PROS:

didnt stay there long enough to see any.

CONS:

More than half the staff are travelers so that should have been a red flag for me. I was going to do a contract there, but the management seemed quite petty. The c.n.o. sent some guy to come into our orientation to let us know that we could leave if we don't like the way they do business there , and that myself and a couple other nurses are starting on day one with "strike one" , and kept rambling for about ten minutes about how they won't tolerate a "bunch of travelers talking smack about they're hospital. Apparently some of the lab personal went to the c.n.o. and made a complaint that we were unhappy about being stuck with needles for our 3rd drug test. That's right, 3 drug tests before we even got to see where we would be working. 2 urine drug screens and a surprise blood test too. After this dude was done running his mouyh, I got up and walked out as fast as I could.the next day they called my employer and told them I failed a drug screen, but wouldn't tell them what for. They then launched a formal complaint to the nursing board. The kicker here is that I had a valid prescription for the medication, but they didn't bother to call me and ask if I had one. Nope they filed a formal complaint, and now I am about to go through this big huge ordeal and everybody will know my business. Even after I am cleared for any wrong doing this will follow me for the rest of my life. For now on, when I apply for a job and they ask if my license has ever been investigated, I will have to say yes, followed by a very long explanation. Thanx a lot there Hazard A.R.H.

PROS:

Pay good, co-workers so-so

CONS:

Facility lacks leadership, no thought put into assignments, for the nurse or the patients.....patients are all liars. Management just don't get why all their nurses has left and the place is run by travelers Management dwells on little things, for example, there is a mudhole and they want it dried out, vs a tsunami is coming and they do nothing.
