Coworkers are great Name recognition of system Allows and emphasizes self-betterment Location in city, close to public transit and interstate Decent pay when starting

Cath Lab (Cardiac Catheterization)

Great!

PROS:

Big personalities but experienced. Lots of support from management. Lots of leeway for me to practice. lots of training and conference opportunities

CONS:

big personalities tend to clash, Steady flow of fellows coming through the Cath lab

Medical-Surgical (MS, Med-Surg)

Staff is very unfriendly...not helpful

There are not any pros from my perspective. Facility not supportive of travelers therefore I find it difficult to list any pros

CONS:

Coworkers are very unfriendly and lack eagerness to help one another. Patient to staff ratio can be very unsafe at times

There are not any pros to working in the ED at this place. It is a horrible place to work

schedule, pay, workload, administration, co-workers

PROS:

Coworkers were great...but they were all travellers. There were VERY few staff nurses working there in the ED. This made it very traveller friendly.

CONS:

Because everyone else is a traveller too, it is not very easy to find answers to your questions. It is not very organized at all.

there are multiple pros to working at emory midtown. my favorite are the grateful patients that make the job worth it, even on a tough day.

CONS:

there are a few cons to working at emory midtown. unfortunately, staffing seems to always be a big concern. i imagine that most hospitals could say the same thing.

Neonatal ICU (NICU)

experiece is ok

some coworkers will help, pay is pretty good, scheduling can be flexible

CONS:

very political, clicks, do not value input, ratio of patients can be overwhelming at times, short staffed a lot of times
