CONS:

I started working at TMC as a new RN grad. I did 12 weeks of floating to 3 different med-surg units, and then was offered a spot on our 3rd floor Telemetry floor. I have worked at this hospital for 1.5 years, floated to all the other units except for the ED and ICU, and I can honestly say that the best part of my hospital is my unit. We have amazing nurses who have been there for 5-10 years and phenomenal teamwork. Other units are not as strong as the 3rd floor; over the past year, I have seen a mass exodus of nurses on other floors because of terrible hospital policies, and so other units are not as cohesive. Staffing ratios are terrible across the board, and our ED is lacking in experienced/ quality nurses so there is a huge problem of safety in our ED.
