Ambulatory Care

Worst hospital ever!!!!!

1
PROS:

CONS:

Intensive Care (Critical Care, CCU, ICU)

CONS:

Rough fast pace long hours sick patients short staff very busy short on supplies sometimes cafeteria needs work

Neurology ICU (Neuro ICU)

Teaching/ level 1 trauma/ inner city/ public hospital

4
PROS:

pay is pretty good. The Neuro dept is new and always updating, angio suite and CT scanner dedicated to our floor. Wide variety of learning and growth opportunities in Grady.

CONS:

Neuro is often well staffed, management is good in our dept.. But many other dept's are short staffed. MICU and SICU, trauma ICUs often have 3:1 rato. The organization as a whole is trying to work on work culture. People can be mean. You need to be a strong nurse, confident, independent.. But please bring kindness with you!

Emergency Room (ER)

Great. Lots of learning

5
PROS:

None

CONS:

The only time that I can mention is they keep switching the scheduling process for our ends. One day they tell you what days you must work then they keep switching it.

Medical-Surgical (MS, Med-Surg)

Senior RN III

1
PROS:

You will learn a great deal due to the teaching environment and pt diversity

CONS:

You will work like a Hebrew slave, be underappreciated, micro-managed, physically and verbally abused by patients, always be short of supplies and be paid poorly for level of experience. Plus , traffic sucks in the Atl area!

Home Health (Hospice)
