Do not work here

PROS:

Vacation and sick leave hours. Some really amazing people.

CONS:

HR is horrible. Managers are not trained and do not know how to lead. Leadership is abusive. Nepotism, favoritism, low pay, and vary low moral and engagement. And the bad apples don't get fired. And when they turn on you, management and HR will come together to attack and penalize and undermine you. This is no joke. I am a male USMC veteran- no baby, no crying over here. SFVAMC is a total joke. DO NOT WORK HERE.

Want A Job Where You Don’t Have To Do Your Job? This Is The Place For You!

PROS:

You don’t have to call veterans back in a timely manner.... I mean it’s ok to wait 7-8 days to return phone calls to return calls to a veteran that needs to be put on the surgery calendar. It’s ok to delay the veteran over 3 weeks to get placed on the surgery schedule because you don’t feel like picking up the phone and calling them back. It’s ok to straight up lie to a veteran about why you haven’t called them. It’s ok to have a different lie about why you haven’t returned their calls each time you call them. It’s ok if you are the director to not call a veteran back that has reached out to you so they can provide you feedback. It’s ok if you are the director not to return calls by a veteran even though they have called you 6 different times It’s ok if you are the patient advocate to only do the bare minimum to help a veteran. It’s ok if you are the patient advocate and you don’t follow back up to see if that veteran that contacted you has had their problem taken care of. It’s ok to be rude to veterans, after all they can’t do anything to you if they are mistreated. It’s ok not to do your job after all there is ZERO accountability for your actions. It’s ok to just not care

CONS:

None this place is great for any person that wants to collect a paycheck and not be held accountable for not doing their jobs After all we all no the VA doesn’t fire employees that don’t do their jobs.
