Good place Great people
Coworkers, experience, location. This hospital handles a large amount of open heart and stroke intervention patients. Some much to experience and learn.
Scheduling, ratios. There is definitely a shortage here and sometimes that makes the shift very heavy to maintain.
Great management, great nursing staff, great facility. Well run Emergency Department, well run ICU. Easy to reach, good location.
Some doctors are unapproachable. Staffing can be a problem, frequently pulled to work other units. The weekend and shift differentials are not very competitive.
Medical-Surgical (MS, Med-Surg)
* Friendly Enviorment to work in * Pathway to Excellence Designated * Scheduling
* Some of the medical equipment outdated * staffing is not always done by acuity of patients but from ratio of patients to nurses (you need to speak up when this happens)
Nice team work
Intensive Care (Critical Care, CCU, ICU)
ICU is used to staff other floors, even when it leaves ICU short.
GREAT TEAMWORK, GREAT APPRECIATION FROM OTHER NURSES AND MANAGEMENT STAFF
Emergency Room (ER)
Its great and would like you to come aboard.
