Medical-Surgical (MS, Med-Surg)

being a med-surg nurse has been a wonderful experience at this hospital.

PROS:

my coworkers are great, i like the hospital's location, it is located in a avery safe neighborhood. The pay is great and the managers are very supportive.

CONS:

Sometimes we get canceled for scheduled shifts due to overstaffing. At times you are also floated to a different floor aside from the one you are used to.

Very supportive hospital that cares about their employee

PROS:

great pay, ability to be able to self schedule, great Doctors, supportive managers, the hospital is also located in a great neighborhood.

CONS:

high rate of very sick older patients, RN's often get canceled for the scheduled shift due to overstaffing of nurses at the hospital.

It is a New unit with great nurses and doctors. They are paying double time right now, potential to make money

CONS:

High patient ratio to nurse, no help from management, always short staffed and not a safe environment. Hard to get a lunch break.
