The Children’s Hospital of Michigan sees more kids and trains more pediatric medical and surgical experts than any other hospital in the state. For over 125 years, the Children's Hospital of Michigan is the hospital where all we know and everything we do is just for them. Children’s Hospital of Michigan at the Detroit Medical Center is the first American College of Surgeons verified, free-standing Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center in Michigan. The verification provides confirmation that a trauma center has demonstrated its commitment to providing the highest quality trauma care for all injured patients.

It's a very busy unit, there is a wide range oh diagnoses. There is good teamwork and management is good.

Neonatal ICU (NICU)

PROS:

The nurses are over worked, understaffed, and assignments are sometimes dangerous. Management is nowhere to be seen to help. However the staff is wonderful and the neonatologist are amazing.
