Tough place to work, but you will gain tons of experience

PROS:

It's a tough area, so you will get exposed to real tough nursing experiences. The hospital is always busy !!

CONS:

Co-workers are tough on agency and traveling nurses because we make more money then they do!!

Make sure that if there is anything that is questionable, speak to management. Know what is expected and ask someone if you are unsure. From day to day, it was great because of each individual contributing to the task at hand. We had a great team that pulled together no matter what the situation was.

PROS:

You will get plenty of experience here at Mt Sinai, being a level 1 Trauma center. The staff is friendly and the culture is all inclusive, but supplies can sometimes be difficult to come by.

Stay focused and do your best. Many nurses there are willing to help.
