Lakeland is one of the few hospitals in the area that hires new grads. However, they are starting a residency program so I am not sure how that will effect hiring. This is a large hospital with many opportunities for transfers to different departments. The base pay is a little under some of the other hospitals but working night shift and weekends offers great differentials. All in all this is a great place to work.
Intensive Care (Critical Care, CCU, ICU)
Work the night shift to avoid the hassle of the politics and cliques.
It's a nice place to work... Great facility.
Psychiatric (Mental Health)
Be a team player and you should fit right in. Positive attitude is required.
Medical-Surgical (MS, Med-Surg)
Benefits are very good , but nurse to staff ratio can be challenging.
Interventional Radiology (IR)
A lot of opportunities
