Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC)

WOund care certified. Experience in discharge planning, and supervisor.

PROS:

None

CONS:

The acuity of care that facility accepts is not off set with adequate staffing. Old facility, still using paper Mars/Tars, and crank beds.

Psychiatric (Mental Health)

If you want to make a difference - Acute Psychiatric stabilization of MH clients

PROS:

ER has a few great Nurses who understand MH vs Medical needs of clients and go above to assist with biopsycosocial care.

CONS:

Poor psychiatric consult/care and treatment in this area. Limited resources and Medicaid beds place a stress on the hospital going over the max time to keep pts due to not being able to find placement. High rate of MH clients unstable due to problems in the chain of care up to the State level. Minimum low income beds vs glut of $6000.00 beds because of stringent DHEC regulations without regards to needs of the MH clients. Trying to make a difference here in SC through SCARP organization but it's a slow process so far.

Orthopedics

Terrible Place

PROS:

Close to Charlotte, NC and not to far to Charleston

CONS:

Hateful core staff, Staff is extremely dumb. Lot's of mistakes from core staff that are blamed on the travel nurse.

Cath Lab (Cardiac Catheterization)

Cathlab

PROS:

Excellent care by doctors and nurses and other health care professionals. Every service is available. Premiere hospital. Safe area. Downtown Atlanta.
