Home Health (Hospice)
It has been a while but they were very patient focused and great organization
Parking, staffing ratios were not always ideal, traffic getting in and out of the medical center was tedious and with walk inthedark was scary at times
Intensive Care (Critical Care, CCU, ICU)
It will give you a good experience.
We are like a family and support is always available. We are constantly educated on new improvements for patient safety.
The nurse-to-patient ratio is high, the charge nurses are helpful, but there are too many politics amongst the staff.
Good teamwork from the bedside nurses
Neurology ICU (Neuro ICU)
Great staff and great team work but a lot of micromanaging
Emergency Room (ER)
I would tell her the culture of the unit and put patient population and what that is like. It's not easy to work in a low social economic hospital.
Expect the unexpected from patients, the staffing is pretty even, great support from mgmt., learn as much as you can from each experience
