Three Stars

PROS:

I have worked in Pediatric home health for 3.5 years. I primarily work with trach and GB patients, many immobile and very fragile. I have no hospital experience other than nursing clinicals. I chose Methodist Hospital for your number 8, because it requires me to choose a hospital.

CONS:

None

Operating Room (OR)

Four Stars

PROS:

The surgical services team at my hospital is amazing. Highly recommended to any nurse looking for level 1 trauma Periop experience! Some units can be a bit clicky, however, most everyone is great to work with. Overall the atmosphere and culture of the hospital is friendly and will go over and beyond patient expectations. I love surgical services because of the environment, speed, and variety of cases we handle. It doesn't get much better then being in the OR for a level 1 trauma case!

CONS:

None

Four Stars

PROS:

Nothing

CONS:

Intensive Care (Critical Care, CCU, ICU)

PROS:

The pay is less and there aren't enough techs. Lots of turnover with nurses. The unit is huge and the acuity is high, great learning experience.
