The Myth of Patient Ratios
Great coworkers who were very helpful; beautiful location with close proximity to awesome beaches and awesome sand dunes; beautiful facility with updated equipment, great upper level management
Support staff next to null and working in individuals was isolating. Mid-level nursing leadership was poor.
Labor & Delivery (L&D)
Busy unit with awesome coworkers. MOST good. All but one. There's always one. Free charge really appreciate. Computer system was easy.
No overtime . Nursery only attends the delivery. LD nurse is responsible for baby while mom is recovering. So try not your deliver at shift change. I had a PPH at 0630 and the nursery nurse was very upset she couldn't dump on me.
Great people, great unit; new director is not supportive, short-staffed at this time.
No CNAs, RNs are great, management horrible.
No CNAs. Extra shifts always available. Hard to get help at times. Nurses are true family. Non-stop hectic, but very rewarding.
Long-Term Care (LTC)
Good compensation, good benefits Human kindness is our main goal
Go for it, it's fantastic here, you will love it! It is amazing, this is a great place to work, the work is tough, but the hospital is amazing and does their best to take care of their employees and patients. This is one of the best places I have worked,
