Labor & Delivery (L&D)

L&D nurses beware

PROS:

Nurses are nice

CONS:

Awhonn guidelines for staffing is not followed here... You always have at least 2 la oeing patients at once... Sometimes a twin mom and a single pregnancy mom at the same time - SO UNSAFE! If you are a traveler you will always have a patient... Or two, even if there are six other nurses without a patient! The management is a joke, along with the schedulers .... Don't try to adjust your schedule because they will tell you one thing, even arrange a meeting and come to an agreement and then have a secret meeting afterwards to completely decide on something different after u leave the meeting... And not tell you about it til days later.... Friendly word of advice - get everything in writing!!! C.Y.A.! If you're all about the $$ and don't care about unsafe pt:nurse ratios... This is your place... Otherwise find another hospital who cares about patient safety & satisfaction!
