Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU)

RN and License Paramedic

PROS:

Scheduling, teamwork, coworkers, nurse patient ratio, tuition reimbursement program. I have enjoyed working here but looking to boarden by horizons.

CONS:

Pay, turnover rate, limiting overtime

Postpartum (Perinatal)

Overall very pleasant experience working here for the past 5 1/2 years.

PROS:

Wonderful coworkers and the hospital is very nice and constantly being updated. Hospital merger with Christus has allowed new opportunities for the hospital.

CONS:

Staff/Patient ratio can sometimes be overwhelming. Pay could be better and more comparable to bigger city pay.

Medical-Surgical (MS, Med-Surg)

CTMF is the place to be

PROS:

I've had a great team to work alongside, a great company, incredible leadership, countless educational opportunity, incentives, opportunities for growth, and nurse recognition.

CONS:

Ambulatory Care

Four Stars

PROS:

I think that nurses need to be prepared for anything. Being a nurse isnt an easy job with good pay. Its hard work and almost always pays less than your worth. You heart has to be in it or you will never be a good nurse.

CONS:

None

Postpartum (Perinatal)

Five Stars

PROS:

The nurses on the unit can be clickish. Be patient and eventually you will find your way. Unfortunately it's not like the other hospitals I have worked at where the other nurses make you feel welcome. Also, the younger nurses do not utilize team work, which is what I have been accustomed to my whole career.

None
